"The nice feature about the Franklin Miller Grinders (Super Shredder) is that the cutting blade automatically reverses with each new operaton. This, in my opinion aids in keeping cutting blades wear even and to a minimum. I worked at another wastewater treatment plant that had a competitor's grinder and the grinder was fine except that the motor leads had to be physically changed to get a reverse in the cutting blade direction. This caused pumping problems because motor reversing was not done in a timely manner. With all the duties this staff has to perform at this plant it is nice to not have to hassle or worry about the Franklin Miller grinders."

We formerly had an oscillating design and when that would get stuck or something jammed in, it did not have the ability to free itself.
