California County Improves Security and Reduces Expenses with Taskmaster® DS Document Shredder

Problem

An administrator for the Support Services Division of a county government in California, had a dilemma. In spite of a shrinking budget, the county was spending excessive amounts of money on outside services to shred the mountains of documents they need to dispose of each month. Its 20hp motor generates massive torque needed to plow through large stacks of material at a single pass. The unit handles up to 2" thick reams of documents, spiral notebooks, cards, checks computer printouts and document boxes. The Taskmaster's unique ability to destroy sensitive documents in their boxes and discharge them as small secure chips offers another level of security over the strip output of most conventional shredders. As a bonus, the county is able to sell the shredded waste paper to a recycler.
