The TASKMASTER TM8500 series packs a powerful twin-shaft shredding mechanism into a compact housing. These units reduce a variety of solids to fine
particles with a positive, self-feeding counter-rotating cutting mechanism.

The TASKMASTER TM8500 series has unique versatility. These units can be installed in either wet, dry, gravity or pressurized environments. They can be configured for channels or chutes. Install them with flange transitions into pipe systems to protect pumps and process equipment. When equipped with a stand and hopper, their powerful shredding capabilities can be employed for reducing wet or dry bulk waste.

Typical units use a
3 HP - 5 HP (2.2-4.0 kw) motor with a heavy duty gear drive for
low speed, high torque operation. The TM8500 Series is built in
a variety of sizes with a cutting chamber of 8-3/4" (222 mm) wide
by up to 90" (229 mm) tall for applications starting at 170 gpm
(10 l/s) and up. Units are available as single, duplex and triplex
designs for a wide range of flow and application requirements.
The Taskmaster TM8500
is available for submersible applications using a submersible
electric motor, hydraulic drive, or shaft extension. They are
provided in stainless steel construction in addition to standard
ductile iron and alloy.
